Ukraine, Kiev: Moscow asked for new round of talks by June and meeting between leaders

Brussels, June 2 (LaPresse) – “We have proposed to the Russian side to hold a meeting by the end of this month, between June 20 and 30. We have been telling Russia for some time that this war must end and that the whole world supports us. If Russia is serious about ending the war, it will move in this direction. Otherwise, sanctions should be introduced.” This was stated by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov at a press conference in Istanbul, according to Ukrainian and international media reports. The Kiev representative added that the delegations should try to agree on a meeting between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Vladimir Putin, with the involvement of a third party. Among the options proposed is US President Donald Trump.
