Kyiv, June 3 (LaPresse) – “Russia must tangibly feel that continuing the war against Ukraine will have devastating consequences for it.” This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a video message, as cited by Ukrinform. “Throughout the day, there were air raid alerts almost across the entire territory of our state, and there were attacks. In fact, there hasn't been a single day without killings during this time, while the United States, Europe, and other global actors are calling on Russia to cease fire and negotiate to end the war,” he explained. “Russia's clear determination to continue the war, shown both through attacks and statements, is sufficient motivation to impose new sanctions on Russia—strict sanctions,” he continued. Zelensky then emphasized that “Putin does not change his behavior when he does not fear the consequences of his actions.” “Russia must truly feel what war is. Russia must suffer losses because of the war. They must tangibly perceive that continuing the war will have devastating consequences for them,” he added.
