Milan, June 6 (LaPresse) – The General Staff of the Ukrainian Army reported that it struck two Russian military airfields overnight — Engels in the Saratov region and Diaghilev in the Ryazan region — as well as "other important military facilities" in Russia, prior to the "massive Russian attack" on Ukraine.
According to the Ukrainian army, the Engels base housed "aircraft that remained after the recent operation by the SBU intelligence agency," while the Diaghilev base contained several tanker aircraft and escort fighters used for missile attacks on Ukrainian territory.
