Rome, June 8 (LaPresse) – "We will not turn back. Our action is legal; it is Israel that is acting illegally." This was written on X by Rima Hassan, a Franco-Palestinian Member of the European Parliament who is on board the ship Madleen organized by the Freedom Flotilla. The vessel intends to break the Israeli naval blockade and reach the Gaza Strip. On board are 12 people, including the Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg and the Brazilian activist Thiago Avila. "We urgently request a maritime corridor to deliver humanitarian aid aboard our ship," Hassan wrote, tagging French President Emmanuel Macron in the post.
