Rome, June 8 (LaPresse) – The Israeli armed forces have confirmed to the Jerusalem Post that the body of a man found in an underground complex beneath the European Hospital near Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, has been identified as that of former Hamas military leader Mohammed Sinwar.
The body was initially discovered in a tunnel along with ten others, and was later brought back to Israel for identification.
Sinwar is believed to have been killed in an Israeli airstrike on May 13 in Khan Younis.
