Milan, June 9 (LaPresse) – “On June 11, Adam will arrive in Italy with his mother, his aunt, and four little cousins. Last night, the Israeli government authorized their departure, so it's confirmed that they will arrive in Italy on the 11th. I believe they will receive treatment in Lombardy.”
This was stated by Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani during the radio program Il Rosso e il Nero on Radio 1, referring to young Adam, the 11-year-old son of Dr. Alaa al-Najjar, who lost her husband and nine other children in an Israeli bombing that hit their home in Khan Younis on May 23.
“I believe we will also be able to bring around fifty more people from Gaza, in addition to Adam. We are working on it,” Tajani added, noting that “Italy is the country that has welcomed 10% of all Palestinians who have left Gaza,” making it one of the countries that has done the most, alongside Egypt and other Arab nations.
