Rome, 14 June (LaPresse/AP) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said that nuclear talks with the United States would be ‘unjustifiable’ after Israeli attacks on his country. This indicates that there will be no negotiations this weekend. Delegations from the United States and Iran were due to meet in Oman on Sunday. Araghchi spoke by telephone with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kalla. The Israeli air strikes were the ‘result of direct support from Washington,’ Araghchi said, according to the Irna news agency. However, the United States has stated that it did not participate in the attacks. The ‘continuation of indirect talks between Iran and the United States is unjustifiable in a situation where the violence of the Zionist regime continues,’ the Iranian minister added.
