Rome, June 15 (LaPresse) – "We all know what Iran was organizing with uranium enrichment, it's impossible to pretend otherwise, it is certainly not an invention of Israel. In fact, these hours have seen broader international willingness to understand Israel's reasons. The survival of the country is at stake."
This was stated in an interview with Corriere della Sera by Noemi Di Segni, president of the Union of Jewish Communities.
"The dangers do not concern only Italians of Jewish faith but the entire country, its democratic institutions, all faiths," she said. "Some do not rule out the possibility of attacks on the Catholic Church, perhaps even St. Peter’s. Unfortunately, I share this fear."
