Tel Aviv, June 16 (LaPresse) – The Israeli army has issued evacuation warnings to residents of a part of Tehran ahead of planned attacks. Israel stated its intention to strike military sites within the city. Similar evacuation warnings were issued to civilians in certain areas of Gaza and Lebanon prior to attacks.
Israeli special forces have issued an unprecedented evacuation notice for a large area of the Iranian capital, Tehran. “Dear citizens, for your safety, we ask you to immediately leave the area mentioned in District 3 of Tehran,” said the Persian-speaking IDF spokesperson Kamal Penhasi, quoted by the Times of Israel.
“In the coming hours, the Israeli army will operate in this area, as it has done in recent days throughout Tehran, to target the military infrastructure of the Iranian regime,” he added.
