Washington, June 19 (LaPresse) – A SpaceX rocket undergoing testing in Texas exploded last night. The company announced that the Starship “experienced a major anomaly” around 11 p.m. local time (6 a.m. in Italy) while on the test stand in preparation for the tenth flight test from Starbase, the launch site at the southern tip of Texas.
“During the operation, a safety zone was maintained around the site and all personnel are safe,” SpaceX added in a statement posted on social media platform X. Elon Musk’s company emphasized that there is no danger to nearby communities and asked people to stay away from the site.
