Moscow, June 19 (LaPresse) – Russian President Vladimir Putin stated he is ready to meet Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky but added that it is unclear "who will sign the documents."
"We are ready to meet, I said I am ready to meet everyone, including Zelensky. But that is not the issue. If the Ukrainian state trusts someone to conduct the negotiations, fine, let it be Zelensky," Putin said during a meeting with international news agencies, quoted by Interfax.
"The question is: who will sign the documents?" he asked.
Putin also declared he does not refuse "any contact" and is ready to talk with Friedrich Merz if the German chancellor so wishes. He then stressed that the use of Taurus missiles would harm Russia-Germany relations but would not affect the course of military operations.
