Milan, June 24 (LaPresse) – "Now the focus returns to Gaza, the return of the hostages, and the overthrow of the Hamas regime." This was stated by the Chief of Staff of the Israeli army (IDF), Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, according to the Times of Israel. His remarks come after the fragile ceasefire between Israel and Iran came into effect.
"We have closed an important chapter, but the campaign against Iran is not over. We are entering a new phase, based on the results of the current operation. We have set back the Iranian nuclear project by years, and the same applies to its missile program," he added. "Despite the phenomenal result, we must keep our feet on the ground. Many challenges lie ahead. We must remain focused; there is no time to rest on our laurels," Zamir concluded.
