Milan, June 24 (LaPresse) – The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) reported that one of its workers, Mahmoud Barakeh, was killed in the Gaza Strip on Sunday, June 22, while returning home. He is the fifth Red Cross worker killed in Gaza since October 2023. “We are shocked by the killing of our colleague Mahmoud Barakeh, who worked at the Red Cross field hospital in Rafah. He was killed while returning home on Sunday, June 22. Our hearts go out to his family and loved ones. Since October 2023, five ICRC colleagues have been killed in Gaza,” the Red Cross Committee stated on X.
