The Hague (Netherlands), June 25 (LaPresse) – "The end of the war in Iran should also pave the way for a ceasefire in Gaza, which is an absolute priority for us. No more deaths, we hope Hamas will accept the ceasefire, because we have also seen greater willingness from the Israeli side. There are too many civilian victims who have nothing to do with Hamas. It is right that the suffering of that people ends, just as it is right that the suffering of the Israeli hostages held by terrorists ends."
This was stated by Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani at a press conference on the sidelines of the NATO summit in The Hague.
The Foreign Minister also announced that a group of 11 Palestinians recently left Gaza through a new operation led by Italy. This concerned relatives of Palestinian citizens who came to Italy for medical treatment or reside there with a regular residence permit. The entire group will arrive tonight in Amman, Jordan, and will then proceed to Italy.
