Rome, 27 June (LaPresse) – The European Union and the United States believe they can reach some form of trade agreement before the 9 July deadline, when Washington will impose a 50% tariff on almost all EU products and the EU plans to adopt a series of countermeasures. This was reported by Bloomberg. According to reports, during a closed-door summit, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen told EU leaders that she was confident that an agreement could be reached before the deadline to avoid an economically damaging escalation, according to sources familiar with the matter.
