Thus spoke Pope Leo XIV while receiving the bishops of the Synod of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. "Nevertheless, I receive many testimonies of faith and hope from your people. This is a sign of God's strength amidst the ruins and destruction," the Pope continued, adding, "I am close to you, and through you, I am close to the faithful of your Church." He concluded, "I pray that peace may soon return to your homeland."
