Milan, 4 July (LaPresse) – German government spokesman Stefan Kornelius has stated that Berlin is engaged in intense talks for the purchase of Patriot defence systems. ‘There are various ways to fill this gap in the Patriots,’ Kornelius told reporters, adding that one possibility is to purchase the Patriots in the United States and then pass them on to Ukraine. This was reported by German media. Earlier, Bild reported that Germany was working on a contingency plan after the United States suspended some previously promised shipments of Patriots to Ukraine.
