Rome, 5 July (LaPresse) – Ukrainian defence forces have struck Borisoglebsk airport in the Russian region of Voronezh, a base for Su-34, Su-35S and Su-30SM aircraft. The announcement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as reported by Ukrinform. 'As part of efforts to reduce Russia's ability to carry out air strikes, on 5 July, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defence Forces, struck Borisoglebsk airport. This airport is a base for Russian Su-34, Su-35S and Su-30SM aircraft," the statement said. The extent of the damage has yet to be clarified. According to the General Staff, the attack hit an arsenal of guided aerial bombs, a training aircraft and possibly other aircraft.
