Turin, 16 July (LaPresse) – For US President Donald Trump, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is a possible option to succeed Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell. ‘He's very good. I like the job he's doing,’ he told reporters at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, as reported by US media. According to rumours, former Fed governor Kevin Warsh and White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett are also among the candidates being considered to replace Powell, who has been harshly criticised by Trump on several occasions.
