Rome, July 17 (LaPresse) – "The darkness of sin and death has been overcome by the slain Lamb, Jesus Christ our Lord. This gives us great hope, because we know that no cry of innocent victims of violence, no lament of mothers mourning their children will go unheard." These words were spoken by Pope Leo XIV at Castel Gandolfo during his greeting to members of an ecumenical pilgrimage from the United States of America. "Our hope is in God," Pope Leo XIV added, "and precisely because we constantly draw from the inexhaustible source of His grace, we are called to be witnesses and bearers of it."
