Milan, 17 July. (LaPresse) – Russian President Vladimir Putin ‘is not ready to compromise’ to end his brutal war. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with the New York Post, adding that Donald Trump, however, has the power to bring him to his knees by accelerating the adoption of severe sanctions that could cause a ‘social explosion’ in Russia. ‘He must realise this,’ said Zelensky, who also said he was ‘very grateful’ to the US president for his support for sanctions, referring to Trump's threat on Monday to impose 100% tariffs on countries that buy Russian oil if Moscow does not accept a peace agreement.
