Rome, 19 July (LaPresse) – ‘The Syrian state is committed to protecting all minorities and sects in the country and is proceeding to call all offenders to account.’ This was stated by interim Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa after confirmation of an ‘immediate and complete’ ceasefire in the predominantly Druze province of Sweida.‘We condemn all crimes and violations that have occurred, both inside and outside Sweida, and stress the importance of obtaining justice and enforcing the law,’ Al-Sharaa added, as quoted by the Sana news agency.
