Milan, 23 July (LaPresse) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that Kiev has lost a Mirage, a French fighter jet, but that the pilot managed to save himself and specified that it was not shot down by Russia. "Unfortunately, we have lost one of our combat aircraft, a very effective French aircraft, one of our Mirage jets. The pilot managed to save himself and it was not shot down by Russia. We will strengthen our army," Zelensky said in a speech reported by the Ukrainian presidency. The Ukrainian army reported that during a flight on Tuesday evening, a Mirage-2000 experienced a technical problem and that a special commission has been appointed to investigate the causes of the accident.
