Washington (U.S.), July 24 (LaPresse) – Two leading Republican figures in the United States are calling for the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate alleged actions by Barack Obama aimed at undermining Donald Trump’s 2016 election campaign. Senators Lindsey Graham and John Cornyn have made the request, seeking answers on how the Obama Administration allegedly "manipulated" the situation in hopes of a Hillary Clinton victory in 2016. Observers see the move as a diversion by the Trump Administration to shift attention away from the negative fallout of the Epstein case. The request from Graham and Cornyn follows the White House's release on Wednesday of documents concerning alleged Russian attempts to influence the 2016 election.
