Milan, 25 July (LaPresse) – ‘The French president's statement will not promote peace in the Middle East.’ This is what Israeli President Isaac Herzog wrote in a post on social media, commenting on Emmanuel Macron's announcement that he intends to recognise the State of Palestine. ‘It will not help defeat the threat of terrorism,’ Herzog added, ‘and, more importantly, it will certainly not help bring our soldiers home sooner.’
