Milan, 25 July (LaPresse) – ‘Recognising a Palestinian state today means recognising a Hamas state and therefore a terrorist state.’ This was written in a post on social media by Marine Le Pen. ‘This gesture has nothing to do with loyalty to France's history; on the contrary, it is exactly the opposite, and it is certainly not a guarantee of peace for Israel,’ Le Pen added. "If hope has always driven us towards a two-state solution, this decision legitimises the massacres of 7 October and their trail of suffering, while some hostages are still being held. It is therefore a political and moral mistake, including towards the Palestinians who are suffering under the yoke of Hamas."
