Rome, July 29 (LaPresse) – Following repeated phone contacts between Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani and his Israeli counterpart, Gideon Sa’ar, a technical meeting was held regarding Food for Gaza, the Italian humanitarian initiative through which more than 110 tons of food, medical supplies, and essential goods have so far been delivered to the civilian population in the Gaza Strip.
The meeting was attended by key stakeholders involved in the program, which has been promoted by Italy since March 2024, along with representatives from Italian diplomatic missions in the region.
Italy continues to work in close coordination with the United Nations, the International Red Cross, regional authorities, and the Italian institutional system to further strengthen the Food for Gaza initiative, responding to the humanitarian emergency and ensuring the orderly and proper distribution of aid within the Strip.
