Turin, 2 August (LaPresse) – The deputy commander of Hamas' Sheikh Radwan Battalion, known to the IDF as the al-Furqan Battalion, was killed in an air strike in the Gaza Strip last week. This was reported by the Israeli army. According to the IDF, the 24 July attack killed Salah a-Din Zaara, who served as deputy commander of the battalion within Hamas' Gaza City Brigade and had previously led the battalion's combat support company. Zaara, the army explained, was responsible for planning and conducting numerous attacks against Israel and Israeli troops operating in the Strip.
