Milan, 3 August (LaPresse) – A British man has died after undergoing a hair transplant in Istanbul, Turkey. Martyn Latchman, 38, from Milton Keynes, died last week after feeling unwell during the preparatory stage of the £1,500 (approximately €1,700) procedure. The clinic involved is run by Dr Cinik and is located in the Besikitas area. Among its former clients is former England and Manchester United footballer Rio Ferdinand. The Guardian reports that Latchman was transferred to intensive care at a nearby hospital after falling ill, but died shortly afterwards. Turkish media reported that the police have launched an investigation. Latchman's body was flown back to the UK. A spokesperson for the Foreign Office said: “We are supporting the family of a British man who died in Turkey and are in contact with the local authorities”.
