Milan, 6 August (LaPresse) – ‘The expulsion order issued by Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi against Almasri is justified on the grounds of protecting public order and safety,’ but it has led to "a paradoxical result, namely returning the wanted Almasri, who is free, to a place where he could continue to engage in criminal conduct similar to that of which he has already been accused. It follows that the administrative act, as justified, is vitiated by manifest irrationality and, as such, is unlawful." This was written by the Court of Ministers in its request for authorisation to proceed against the Minister of Justice Carlo Nordio, the Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi, and the Undersecretary Alfredo Mantovano.
