Rome, Aug. 7 (LaPresse) – The Russian Foreign Ministry has summoned the Italian Chargé d'Affaires in Russia, Giovanni Scopa, to protest against what it called an “ongoing anti-Russian campaign in the Italian media” and Rome's “disproportionate reaction to Moscow's rejection of certain hateful statements made by senior Italian government officials against Russia.” The Russian ministry itself announced this in a statement.
