Washington (USA), Aug. 6 (LaPresse) – The United States will introduce 100% tariffs on microchips and semiconductors imported into the country. Former President Donald Trump made the announcement at the White House during the unveiling of a new $100 billion investment by Apple. However, Trump stated that if companies commit to manufacturing their products within the U.S., the tariffs will not be applied, even while awaiting the start of production.
