Sweden, shooting near Örebro mosque: 2 injured

Berlin (Germany), 15 August (LaPresse/AP) – Shots were fired in Sweden near a mosque in Örebro and, according to local police, two people were injured. Local media report that one person was taken to hospital after being shot while leaving Friday prayers. The perpetrator has not yet been arrested and it is unclear whether the mosque was the target or if specific individuals were targeted. The newspaper Aftonbladet cites information that the police suspect the shooting is gang-related. Emergency services responded in force to the scene and the police urged citizens to stay away.
