Milan, 17 August (LaPresse) – US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has stated that a temporary ceasefire agreement between Ukraine and Russia ‘is not off the table’. ‘It has been agreed by all that the best way to end this conflict is through a comprehensive peace agreement,’ Rubio said on NBC News' ‘Meet the Press’ programme. "There is no question about that. I mean, who would be against us coming to you tomorrow and saying, “We have reached a comprehensive peace agreement, it's done”. I think that's the best way to end the war.‘ ’Now, if a ceasefire is necessary to achieve that, well, we have supported that. Unfortunately, at this point, the Russians have not accepted it," Rubio added.
