Turin, Aug. 19 (LaPresse) – Switzerland will offer "immunity" to Russian President Vladimir Putin, despite his indictment by the International Criminal Court, provided that he attends "a peace conference." This was stated at a press conference in Bern by Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis, as reported by Swiss media. Last year, he added, the government established "rules for granting immunity to a person subject to an international arrest warrant. If that person attends a peace conference, not if they come for private reasons," Cassis said.
