Israel, Tajani: "West Bank plan undermines two-state solution"

Turin, August 21 (LaPresse) – Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani today signed a joint declaration with the foreign ministers of 20 other countries and the European Union, strongly condemning Israel’s decision to proceed with new settlements in the West Bank and calling for their immediate reversal. The statement was reported by the Italian Foreign Ministry.

The declaration reaffirms that such a decision constitutes a violation of international law and undermines the shared goal of ensuring security and prosperity in the Middle East. Minister Tajani emphasized, "This plan irreparably compromises the two-state solution, dividing the future Palestinian state and limiting Palestinian access to Jerusalem."
