Berlin (Germany), Aug. 21 (LaPresse/AP) – A Ukrainian citizen suspected of taking part in the 2022 underwater explosions that damaged the Nord Stream gas pipelines between Russia and Germany has been arrested in Italy. German prosecutors in charge of the pipeline blast investigation announced the arrest. The suspect, identified only as Serhii K., was detained overnight in the province of Rimini, Italy, prosecutors said. German authorities added that he is believed to have been one of the coordinators of the operation.
