Milan, Aug 21 (LaPresse) – "This is really the crucial point of the negotiations: the Ukrainians want security guarantees. The Russians want a certain amount of territory," said U.S. Vice President JD Vance in an interview with Fox News, explaining that the territory Moscow demands also includes areas it does not currently occupy. "There are really two major outstanding issues, and in some ways it's very simple, but in others it's very complicated. First, Ukraine wants to know it won’t be invaded again by Russia. It wants to know it will have territorial integrity for a long time to come. The Russians want some territory — most of which they’ve occupied, but some they haven’t," Vance said.
