Milan, 29 August (LaPresse) – ‘By acting outside the legal framework and inciting other states to follow the path of arbitrariness, the European countries participating in the JCPOA’, i.e. the 2015 Iranian nuclear agreement, "are only worsening their position as violators, which is reprehensible and unacceptable. We urge them to come to their senses and reconsider their misguided decisions before they lead to irreparable consequences and a new tragedy. We are convinced that their confrontational approach towards Tehran has no prospects." This is how the Russian Foreign Ministry commented on the decision of the so-called E3 group – namely Germany, France and the United Kingdom – to activate the mechanism for reintroducing UN sanctions against Iran.
