Washington, 29 August (LaPresse/AP) – The Trump administration has approved the sale of £825 million worth of arms to Ukraine, including long-range missiles and related equipment to enhance its defensive capabilities. The decision was announced as US efforts to broker peace between Ukraine and Russia appear to be stalling. ‘This proposed sale will support US foreign policy and national security objectives by improving the security of a partner country that is a force for political stability and economic progress in Europe,’ the department said in a statement.
