Milan, 2 September (LaPresse) – Israeli President Isaac Herzog will fly to the Vatican on Thursday to meet Pope Leo XIV. The announcement was made by the presidential office, as reported by the Times of Israel. The one-day trip, promoted by the Holy See, will focus on efforts to bring back hostages from Gaza, the fight against anti-Semitism around the world and the protection of Christian communities in the Middle East. Herzog will also meet with Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin and visit the Vatican Library.
