Beijing (China), 4 September (LaPresse/AP) – The Chinese Foreign Ministry has announced that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, currently visiting China, will meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping. No details have been given as to when the two will meet. Yesterday, the North Korean leader attended the Chinese military parade in Beijing marking the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, along with other foreign leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin. Kim is making a rare trip outside North Korea. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said the two leaders will have an in-depth exchange of views on bilateral issues and issues of mutual interest. Kim's participation in the parade and talks with Xi ‘are of great importance,’ the spokesman added. The North Korean leader arrived in Beijing by train on Tuesday.
