Milan, 5 September (LaPresse) – Angela Rayner has resigned as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Housing in Keir Starmer's government over a scandal involving her failure to pay enough tax on a flat she bought in East Sussex. Rayner has also stepped down as deputy leader of the Labour Party, according to the BBC. Rayner told Sky News that she had received incorrect tax advice on the £800,000 purchase. In the past, she had often harshly criticised those who deliberately pay less tax than they should.
