Milan, 5 September (LaPresse) – US President Donald Trump has reiterated his warning that he will soon impose ‘quite substantial’ tariffs on imports of computer semiconductors by companies that do not transfer production to the United States, but will spare companies such as Apple that are expanding their investments domestically. The tycoon, according to CNBC, made these statements during a dinner at the White House with leading figures from big tech, including Apple CEO Tim Cook, Meta's Mark Zuckerberg and Oracle CEO Safra Catz. ‘We will be introducing tariffs soon. You may have heard that we will be applying tariffs that are not so high, but still quite substantial,’ he specified.
