Milan, 6 September (LaPresse) – As part of his participation in the Ambrosetti Forum in Cernobbio, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, gave an interview to Fox News Channel journalist Maria Bartiromo. The Farnesina reports in a note that several international political issues were discussed, with a particular focus on the conflict in Ukraine, the crisis in the Middle East and the dynamics of transatlantic relations. The minister reiterated Italy's commitment to stand alongside Ukraine in supporting its resistance against Russian aggression. ‘Italy is ready to support Ukraine financially, militarily and politically. The stability of Kyiv and support for President Zelensky are essential to ensure security and peace in Europe,’ Tajani said. During the interview, the topic of transatlantic relations was also discussed. ‘Pitting America against Europe and Europe against America is a huge mistake. We are two sides of the same coin. If we want to protect our citizens, we must work together,’ Tajani said, stressing that cooperation between the two continents is crucial to addressing global challenges, particularly those posed by actors such as China, Russia, Iran and North Korea.
