Milan, 12 September (LaPresse) – Twenty-seven years and three months. This is the sentence handed down by the Brazilian Supreme Court to former President Jair Bolsonaro for attempted coup and four other charges. This was reported by “O Globo”. The sentence was proposed by the reporting judge of the first section of the Court, Alexandre de Moraes. Bolsonaro, who has always denied any wrongdoing, is currently under house arrest in Brasilia. The 70-year-old thus becomes the first former Brazilian president to be convicted of attempted coup. The panel of judges now has up to 60 days to publish the sentence.
