Madrid (Spain), 12 September (LaPresse) – ‘I am surprised that someone like Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is committing atrocities in Gaza, violating all the rules of humanitarian law and international law, and who is also contested within his own country, allows himself the luxury of lecturing another country,’ ‘I believe that these dramatic images of children and people fleeing Gaza are a terrible page in universal history, and I believe that Netanyahu is not the person who has the right to lecture anyone.’ This was stated by Spanish Defence Minister Margarita Robles in an interview with Antena 3, commenting on the accusations of ‘blatant threat of genocide’ made by the Israeli Prime Minister's office to Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. “What President Sanchez said is very clear and there is no reason to distort reality, namely that he said that the force Spain can bring to bear in attempting to resolve the conflict is not military,” the minister explained.
