Milan, 14 September (LaPresse) – The family of Virginia Giuffre, Jeffrey Epstein's most famous victim, told the BBC that Peter Mandelson should never have been appointed British ambassador to the United States. In an exclusive interview with the British broadcaster, Sky Roberts, Virginia's brother, said: ‘Absolutely not, they should never have given him that job. It shows how deep the corruption is in our systems, whether it's linked to the UK, the US or abroad.’ Giuffre's sister-in-law, Amanda Roberts, told the BBC: ‘Our governments have allowed these people to keep their status and titles without shame. ’They should never have given him that title. We need to shine a spotlight on them," she added. Mandelson was dismissed by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer this week after a series of emails between Mandelson and Epstein were published, in which the former urged the latter to fight for early release and revealed the depth of their relationship.
