Milan, 15 September (LaPresse) – ‘The people of Gaza deserve a better future, but that better future cannot begin until Hamas is eliminated and all hostages are released.’ This was stated by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, speaking at a press conference alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the end of their meeting in Jerusalem. Rubio's visit to Israel came after Tuesday's Israeli attack in Qatar, a mediating country, with the intent of killing the Hamas leadership gathered in Doha to discuss the US proposal for a ceasefire.
