Turin, 23 September (LaPresse) – ‘It is completely false to say that “recognition of Palestine” is a reward for Hamas. It is the only way to isolate it. The only way to eradicate Hamas is to establish a legitimate authority.’ French President Emmanuel Macron said this in an interview with Bfmtv, in response to statements by US leader Donald Trump. ‘That is exactly what we are doing. There is no other initiative that isolates Hamas so much,’ he explained. ‘The priority is to stop the bombing. If the goal is to say that we want to completely destroy Hamas, it will not work,’ Macron added.
